Impact Awards

The CTAT/ ACTE® Impact Awards recognize groups and individuals from the education, business and industry communities who enhance career and technical education by contributing to the improvement, promotion, development and progress of CTE. Individuals or entities (from within or outside the field) that have contributed to the success and promotion of CTE, thereby positively impacting the image of CTE, are eligible recipients of these awards. The following awards are not presented at the Summer Conference and may be recognized locally by the Area. Award plaques are sent directly to each Area to give to recipients of Impact Awards.

Award Types and Details

CTAT State Application Instructions

  • Each CTAT area can nominate two recipients for Business Education Partnership Award and Champion for CTE. Each area can nominate one CTE Showcase of Excellence recipient.
  • A school board member, superintendent, member of congress, local advisory council member, post secondary educator, business or industry representative, district or program, or other persons who provide significant support to CTE programs in your area are eligible for these awards.
  • CTE administrators teachers and counselors are not eligible.
  • Area president or area awards committee representative will notify Monique Magana, monique@ctat.org of the nominees.
  • CTAT does not provide travel funds for award recipients.

Nominees will be recognized at the area level at the discretion of the area president.

All nominations must be submitted by the area president by the May 1 deadline.

ACTE National Nomination Process and Recognition

For individuals wishing to nominate for Impact Awards at the national level, nominations must be submitted on the ACTE Awards Portal by May 1. The application requirements can be downloaded here (note: this is not an application form; applications must be submitted electronically via the Awards Portal). Nominees are reviewed at the national level only; winners are selected by the ACTE Awards Committee and approved by the Board of Directors in July. Awards are presented at the ACTE Awards Banquet during CareerTech VISION.
