New CTE Teacher Academy
As part of the board of directors teacher outreach initiative, CTAT is offering regional new CTE teacher training in the fall of 2024. This training will be designed and presented by experienced CTAT members who realize the challenges and opportunities new and inexperienced teachers face. The training will include; programs of study, IBC’s, lesson planning, CTSOs, classroom management, instructional delivery and much more
Campus CTE Coach Training
Both novice and seasoned educators now require support more than ever to deliver meaningful experiences to their students. With CTE offering unprecedented opportunities for students, it is crucial for teachers to receive district and campus support in guiding students towards success in today's intricate post-secondary landscape.
A Campus CTE Coach would serve as a readily available resource, offering guidance on CTE fundamentals, instructional techniques, CTSO logistics, IBCs, and all aspects related to CTE. The Campus CTE Coach training provided by CTAT is an indispensable component in furnishing teacher support and ensuring the success of students.
This training session includes a one-year teacher membership to CTAT, offering access to the member forum, conference discounts, and continuous valuable resources and support.
CTE + Campus Admin Training
There is a growing need for campus and CTE administrators to collaborate effectively. By working smarter, not harder, they can balance responsibilities, create annual plans, and conduct thorough teacher and program evaluations. This teamwork will enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of CTE and campus staff, ultimately benefiting students to the fullest extent. This training will empower stakeholders to support CTE students more effectively.
CTE Training for Counselors
One-day training workshop for counselors new to CTE and/or those needing a refresher. Topics such as 4-year plans, special populations, PEIMS, accountability and understanding endorsement requirements are discussed. Understanding CTE courses and how they count for graduation requirements, the AAR, 7th and 8th grade requirements for PGPs, as well as legislative updates are also included.
